My grandmother died in 2005. She did not own a computer. I think she could have mastered some computer skills, but she had plenty of interests and activities and friends to keep her engaged in the world. She wrote things down, not fictional stories but events of her life, both past and present. After she died, I was given the honor of keeping some of her writings. I thought starting a blog with them might be fun. I hope readers will find it enjoyable. Thanks for stopping by.

The things that stay with us
Sun., October 27, 2002 - Mary & the kids came after dinner. Mary left to do cleaning for a lady. The kids & I played UNO. When Mary came back she ironed for me. Mitch turned all the clocks back. The 3 Yosts played several games of UNO before they went home.
Mon., October 28, 2002 - Played cards downstairs in evening. Stopped at Dolores' afterward & played Rummikub.
Tues., October 29, 2002 - Papa died 82 years ago today. I feel so bad that I remember so little about him. The HandiVan took me for my hairdo & Mary brought me home.
I never recall Grandma mentioning the anniversary of her father's death, but obviously it was a date that she remembered, even 82 years later.
